Threadline keeps folders identical across machines by talking device-to-device — there is no cloud in the middle and no account to create. Devices find each other and sync whenever both are online.

Worth knowing before you commit:

  • Sync is not backup: deletions propagate too. Pair it with versioning.
  • NAT traversal usually just works; relays cover the rest.
  • File versioning options are built in per folder.

The right tool when the goal is "these folders match, everywhere, forever".
